is Pirate’s free open decks night at
Pirate Birmingham
, running
every month on the last Wednesday from 7–10PM
.
It’s a welcoming community event where
DJs of all levels
are invited to jump on the decks,
sign up for a 20-minute set
(first come, first served), and
connect with other DJs across all genres
. Whether you’re a seasoned selector or just starting out, you’ll get hands-on time in the booth, plus the option to take part in the
Beginner DJ Workshop
.
Don’t forget! Bring a USB loaded with tunes and headphones.

About Your Workshop Host: Dee'Cleo
Dee'Cleo is a Birmingham-based DJ known for her genre-spanning sets that blend soulful rhythms with high-energy beats. A resident of collectives Energy Flow, Variations, and Pra Vida, and events coordinator for Selextorhood, she curates underground music experiences that celebrate global sounds. With past support slots for Eliza Rose, Moses Boyd, and David Rodigan, plus festival appearances at We Out Here and Shambala, Dee'Cleo continues to push sonic boundaries and move crowds with her eclectic, bass-heavy selections.
